sunglasses

The girls love their new sunglasses. Like most things, they were skeptical at first but after multiple tries, they think it is so fun to wear them! Actually both love to have someone put them on their face and then they take them off and hand them back! What a game!! The glasses sure make them giggle! Sometimes Little Bird won't move a muscle when she is wearing the glasses. She doesn't realize yet that they won't fall off when she moves! However, Little Pie loves to show off her glasses. She may even realize that they are actually functional...she tends to have a problem with the bright sun! Pretty soon they are going to want to get Maui Jim's like mommy and daddy!

thank heaven for grandmas

This week has been a terrific week because we got to spend a day with each of the grandmas! Grandmas are great because they love to play and play and play with the girls! Both grandmas got to take the girls to the park in the wagon and see how they love to walk around the grass, the path and the sand. Both grandmas also let me go and do some stuff on my own. What a nice break!
Grams got the girls some really cute sunglasses that they love to wear. Actually they love to take them off and have you put them back on their face. This is a really fun game! :) She also got the girls some really cute clothes for this summer. Can't wait to wear them all1
Nana brought the picnic table that the girls got for Christmas. We put it together and the girls love to sit at it and eat their Goldfish. They are so proud to be big girls!
Grandmas are great...extra doses of hugs and kisses!!

are we finally in the clear?

It's been a rough week at the mg twins' house! both girls came down with a runny nose on Sunday, which quickly turned into double ear infections for both, possible RSV and a stomach bug by Monday. After two trips to the pediatrician's office, both we put on meds, including an introduction to the nebulizer. The girls do a good job with it, but sometimes get really frustrated and want the treatment to be over. Hopefully in the next week or so we can discontinue it's use!
So I thought taking care of NEWBORN twins was tough, but I'm going to have to take that back and say that taking care of SICK TODDLER twins is even harder. It also didn't help that Rob was just as sick and both sets of grandparents were in Arizona! Oh, whoa is me...
Now that we are on the mend, I have almost forgotten those tough nights...almost Good thing kids bounce back quickly from sicknesses...I can't believe how fast both girls started playing normally again!

Yay for spring!

Wednesday and Thursday were such a BEAUTIFUL days. I live for these kind of days. It has been a really long winter. On Wed. we took a nice wagon ride to the park. I was really excited because this year is going to so much different; the girls can actually run around the park. So in all my excitement, I got my camera ready and took the girls out of the wagon at the park. Sophie screamed and wanted me to pick her right back up. Evie took off down the path for the road giggling like she had just been set free. So, my idea of having them run around so we could all have fun outside, kind of got squashed. So maybe by the END of the summer, keeping them safe will be a LITTLE bit easier. Despite the disappointment of having to go inside to actually "play", it was so WONDERFUL to be outside again.

becoming a blogger

So I decided to join the blogging world so family and friends can easily see the silliness that is the mg twins (maple grove twins). Instead of sending out huge emails with videos of the dancing, laughing, sharing, smiling, fighting, pushing, running, walking, hugging and kissing little girls, you can just come to this blog and check them out! It'll also help those people resistant to FB. ha!

Here are our latest videos.
