because we can

In Minnesota, when it's sunny, 45 degrees, and windless in January, you hurry up and play outside. Especially when there is no snow or ice to worry about.

And in the case of girls who got new scooters for Christmas, you scoot around the neighborhood until legs become too tired to scoot anymore.

Some girls are so anxious to get going, they can hardly pose for pictures.

(We're not complaining, but it will be nice to not have to wear hats under helmets.)

Let's take a look at form, shall we? Someone has some natural ability while someone else looks too much like her mother.

It wouldn't be play time with Daddy unless there was a little bit of competition. On your mark, get set, GO!

Then there are some who want to win so bad they can't wait until GO! (Leaving the rule follower at the start).

Sometimes there are Boo Boos.

But then we get right back on with determination.

And then we head home. Together.

  1. That looks like so much fun!!!

We're having a very mild winter so far here, too...we've spent time outside more often than not. While I would love to see one real snowfall (but just one!), I'm loving all the sunshine and fresh air.
