Poor Little Pie. We had a lot of duds today! Little Pie managed to injure herself significantly 4 times today. She is definitely going to be the child we bring to the ER someday. She definitely gets her "coordination" from her mother.
Dud: While mommy was in the shower, daddy was playing with Little Bird and Little Pie. Little Bird wanted to play "night night" where she gets all wrapped up in blankets and pretends to go to sleep. Little Pie didn't want to play so she decided to scrape her fingers along the register vent. She hadn't been interested in that for months, but I guess today seemed like a great day to bring back that game. Anyway, she sliced up her middle finger on her left hand pretty bad. A flap of skin was dangling and there was a lot of blood. When mommy came downstairs it took two of us to get it bandaged up. We had to tape a sock over her hand so she wouldn't take the bandage off. The good thing is she didn't notice it for the rest of the day!

This is after injury number two. She was still getting used to the sock on her hand and couldn't get up off the floor very well and she slipped and fell on her head. She got her first bump on the head for the day.
Delight: Yesterday we went to a garage sale across the street from BFF's and got a swing/slide combo toy. This morning daddy put it together and the girls checked it out. They aren't in love with it, but I'm hoping it will help alleviate the problem of both wanting to swing in our other swing.
Little Pie didn't really want to swing. She just wanted to try and hook the buckles together. It was kind of hard with the sock. This is her new interest; she does it with her booster chair and her stroller.
Little Bird was happy to get in the swing and check it out. She tried to buckle the straps herself too, but she was actually in the swing.
Delight: We took the girls over to Auntie T's and Uncle C's house to check on the dogs. They had a blast! Little Pie giggled hysterically when the dogs tickled her and gave her kisses. Little Bird was SO EXCITED to go see them (yelling "puppy! puppy! puppy!" they whole way over); but she still only wants to watch them and not have them touch her. They also had a blast walking up and down and up and down the ramp to the deck. They must have done that 40 times. As they would come down the ramp they would accelerate pretty quickly and we had to watch Little Pie closely after she tripped and fell on her head for injury number 3. She QUICKLY recovered and went right back to running up and down the ramp. What fun!

Little Bird gracefully runs up and down the ramp totally in control of her body. There is definitely a difference between the two; when Little Bird falls, she falls on her knees, when Little Pie falls, she fall on her face. Poor Little Pie!
