After many days of rain (felt like weeks), summer finally reappeared this afternoon. It was actually (dare I say it?) hot out in the sun! It was great to get back outside and play. Here's how our day panned out:
Delight: The girls and I went to baby storytime this morning and met BFF there. It was the first storytime of the summer and it was very busy! Lots of little babies were there today. The older "babies" were quite rambunctious and we could hardly get the songs sung! I think they were anxious to get playing. Next time I'll have to get pictures of the crazy storytime.
Delight: The sun came out this afternoon so it was a must that we head to the park. BFF met us there and we all (mommies included) played hard for a good hour. Little Bird and Little Pie got there swing fix in so that was great. All three little girls had rosy cheeks and Little Pie was dripping sweat into her eyes.
Little Pie and BFF play in the sand while Little Bird swings in the background.
Little Bird joins in the digging. BFF is the only one who knows how to pose for the camera and say cheese.
Little Bird tries to push BFF in the car but the boys at the park were too distracting.
Little Pie pushed Little Bird in the car all around the park.
Dud: Daddy didn't make it home in time to see the girls before they went to bed. We talked to him on the phone though. He missed seeing them today. :(
Dud: The game. The girls have started playing this "game" where they throw their bunny (Little Pie's) or frog (Little Bird's) out of their cribs after I've put them down for bed. They first laugh for a while and then panic ensues and I can hear Little Pie scream "B! B! B!" and Little Bird screams "Fwaug! Fwaug! Fwaug!". It's quite frustrating having to go back in there and retrieve the intentionally thrown bunny/frog. It's been going on for quite a while. Of course I have to go back in because I don't want them to not sleep with their favorite buddies. I really hope they get sick of this game soon!
