Today was a super rainy day! You'd have to say it was a wash out. However, we did get a lot of activity in; and even outside! This morning, the whole fam packed up in the van to head to MG high school to watch cousin Taylor play soccer. It was a very cloudy morning, but didn't actually start to rain until we got there (of course!). It was not a terrible rain at this time, so we put the hoods up and strapped the girls in their umbrella stroller. We had a great time talking to family and watching Taylor's team score in the last seconds to win the game! Both girls were exhausted so we headed home for lunch and a nap.
When we first got there Little Pie was not excited. She's getting her two year molars (already!), so her mood can quickly turn sour.
And then two seconds later, she's a happy camper ready to check things out!
Wow, soccer's cool. When we got home she started kicking her basketball around the house. She had never done that before, so apparently she was really paying attention!
After nap, we weren't sure what to do. There was another soccer game, but by this time the rain really picked up. Both daddy and I were not interested in hanging around the house...it can get quite boring. So I suggested we head to Home Depot to find him his Father's Day present...a new weed trimmer! The girls had a great time steering the double car cart at HD. When we left, the rain had stopped so we ran over to the soccer fields to check out the second game.
This time Little Bird was the one in the sour mood. She is really working on those "eye" teeth and of course I forgot her Nuk in the car. She kept grabbing my hand and walking around saying "car? car? car?"
Where is that car? I know it's around here somewhere!
The grass was wet, so every time they touched it they needed someone to wipe their hands off.
Little Pie had a great time cheering and clapping. It's her two favorite things to do, so she really thrives in a place where lots of clapping and cheering are taking place!
When do I get to play?
This is just hilarious!
Little Pie was a koala when we first got there, but by the time was time to leave, she was really socializing!
